MSI Wind Nettop 120 - tiny desktop PC


MSI Wind Nettop 120 is a new model of MSI's segment of small desktops. The computer is based on similar technology as mini PCs - netbooks, but is for the desktop instead.
MSI already has a couple of so-called nettops - the desktop equivalent of the netbooks. A nettop is a tiny desktop computer that you connect to the monitor, keyboard and mouse, and aimed at low prices offer a simple computer to surf and run basic applications.
The upcoming MSI Wind Nettop 120 in the U.S. have had a price tag of just over 2500 dollars. What it will cost when - and if - it launched in Sweden is not decided, but if you look at the MSI Wind Nettop 130 has a price on a piece of over 4000 dollars. 130 model is slightly more powerful.
MSI Wind Nettop run on the following specifications:

  • Memory : 1 GB
  • Operating system : Windows XP Home
  • Storage : 160GB hard drive
  • Ports : 6 USB 2.0, VGA, Ethernet, audio (7.1 surround), card reader with support for four different formats
  • Optical Drive : DVD
  • Wireless LAN : WiFi 802.11b / g
PC Online have previously tested the Asus nettop PC Asus Eee Box B204. One feature that distinguishes computers is that the Asus PC has an HDMI output, which makes it easy to connect your computer to a flat screen television, for example, see a movie or surf through the TV In order to do that with the MSI Wind Nettop you need a VGA to HDMI converter.
